The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to map your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place, you can start automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price tag.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move away if it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.
You can also combine or create rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're away from home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a specific route.
The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features you don't often see on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a premium category. This could robot vacuum that vacuums and mops make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for households with pets or young children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
